Hi. Sorry I’ve not been posting for some time now. Last month I’ve been revamping some of my business systems. So, there is indeed a change awaiting all my blogs. I’m incorporating 3 of my blogs into one unique blog. This blog will exclusively discuss small business issues. Feedback from readers have promted me to combine all the 3 themes into one blog. It will be easy for you to navigate through the various categories in small business. This blog will also include more videos & podcasts, as requested by some readers. I thank all of you who have commented as you have helped the blog to evolve. I’ll give more details about the blog in the later part of the month. I’ll continue to write articles that will help you with your business. See you soon. Bye!
Listening is a vital tool for entrepreneurs. By listening to others, you too can find peace or solutions. Thus listening is not a bad thing. As entrepreneurs, we have a tendency to push our ideas forward, and thus refusing to listen to others. We are always challenging others and too focused on ourselves. Give some thought to listening. Listening skills are an essential attribute for leaders. Listening can open our minds. Share with me your experiences where listening has actually helped you and your business significantly.

OK, all of us have secrets, especially in business. Some secrets are necessary to maintain confidentiality of business operations. But some secrets are deliberately hidden by you, which on the contrary may be beneficial to your business if discussed openly. I’m talking about the mistakes you made in your business. You cover it up to prevent your ego from getting a beating. If these secret mistakes are discussed more openly, you can learn from your mistakes and prevent it from happening again. If others can give their views on your mistake, you’ll get a more broader perspective on the matter. Better perspectives will lead to better decision-making. But are you willing to let your ego down? Ego or cash? If too much secrets are bottled-up, the glass will eventually crack!

You may have to attend many year-end parties or dinners with your network of business friends. You will be exposed to lots of food and alcohol. Have a limit to your food and alcohol consumption. Gluttony is not a solution for business stress. Neither an excuse for networking. You do not want to get sick or lazy at this time of the year. You still need to work hard for your money especially when cash-strapped. Enjoy with limits!

The year will be ending soon. Now is a good time to reflect back on your actions and ponder what to change and achieve next year. Analyzing all your good and bad actions will provide a clearer picture of your business scenario. This will give you more confidence to make good decisions and to look ahead positively in the new year.

Some entrepreneurs always think big and want to see big money fast! However, if you have smaller cash goals, accumulating all this small cash can turn into big money. For instance, if your financial goal is to make $100,000 next year, break it down into smaller achievable values like $8,000 a month. If you condition your mind to achieve these smaller cash goals monthly, you can easily grasp that yearly goal. In addition, you won’t be stressing out yourself too much by worrying about the big amount you need. Focus on the small details and later see the big picture.
